For many music is an integral part of their spiritual lives and their worship experience. It is a key way that they connect with God individually, however this was not always common practice for Christians. Join us for this fascinating podcast with Dr. Erwin Nanasi as he goes through the history that music played in the reformation and then expounds on how music and hymn writing has progressed in Seventh-day Adventist history. Dr. Nanasi speaks with a passion about this important subject as he charts the role of music in religious history.
Dr.ErwinGabriel Nanasi serves as a pastor in the Oklahoma Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. He was educated in Piano Performance at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart (Germany), in Orchestration and Arranging at Berklee College of Music (MA), in Theological Studies at Weimar Institute (CA), in Leadership at Andrews University (MI), and received his Doctorate in Worship Studies at Liberty University (VA). He is happily married to Janell and has two children.
